The Megabus Austin station is conveniently located in the heart of downtown. Getting to the Palmer Events Center or your hotel will be a breeze with all the public transportation options at your fingertips.


trainThe Amtrak Austin drop-off location is in the center of the city, which brings you conveniently close to your final destination – whether that be your hotel or the Palmer Events Center. While downtown, you will be able to use one of the many public or private transportation options available in Texas's capital city.

The Palmer Events Center is prepped for your arrival with not just one, but TWO, parking garages! Their main location at 900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704 offers a whopping 1,200-space garage next to the event center. If things get tight, they also offer an overflow lot, The One Texas Center Parking Garage, located at the southeast corner of Barton Springs Rd. and S. 1st St.

Helpful hints:

  • Entrances on Barton Springs Rd. and Riverside Dr.
  • Clearance Height: 7’2”

Pro Tip: The Riverside Dr. entrance to the parking garage is often underutilized. To avoid traffic at the Barton Springs Rd. entrance, use the Riverside Dr. entrance.



Austin's public bus system serves a population of more than 1 million in its 535-square mile service area. The CapMetro App allows riders to buy passes and plan their trips. 

Austin's subway system, the MetroRail can accommodate all of your downtown transportation needs. The train operates six days a week, with service until 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday.





Pedicabs offer a quirky and fun way to experience Austin. These carts, pulled by local cyclists, can be found all throughout Austin. Each driver is licensed by the City of Austin Ground Transportation Department and work solely on tips, so be generosity is encouraged!
